You might be winning this way, but is it possible to win using standard debian 
packages?  I just tried installing kaffe-pthreads - and its put a java 
runtime in /usr/lib/kaffe/pthreads/bin.  However, I am not sure if setting 
the path to this works with konqueror yet, as I don't know how to test it:-(
