Hello, I have been having this wierd problem in which after a while (sometimes days, sometimes hours) I can't do anything login-related, be it logging in at the console, su, starting or stopping certain services and the like. If, for example, I try to login at the console it will just sit there after asking for the password and do nothing. I can't find anything relevant in the logs.
