Hi

Has anyone out there got the powernow-k8 module working on an Asus K8V SE board with a Amd 64 3000+ processor?

When I try to load the powernow-k8 module (I tried kernel 2.6.8 and 2.6.7) I get the error:

powernow-k8: Found 1 AMD Athlon 64 / Opteron processors (version 1.00.09b)
powernow-k8: BIOS error: numpst must be 1

/proc/acpi/processor/CPU1/info says:

processor id: 0
acpi id: 1
bus mastering control: no
power management: no
throttling control: no
limit interface: no

I have Cool'n'Quiet enabled in the bios and acpi 2.0 as well. It works with winblows with the same bios settings.

Any help would really be appreciated .
