I'm running a 2.2 kernel on my laptop (the only machine that I own that still has a working floppy drive :). Here's the relevant kernel options that I have set in its kernel: CONFIG_AUTOFS_FS=y CONFIG_FAT_FS=y CONFIG_MSDOS_FS=y CONFIG_VFAT_FS=y Have you installed a custom kernel, or a kernel image? If not: what does Sarge install by default these days? Perhaps posting the output of uname might help us help you. If you're still in the Stone Age that is 2.2, you can try setting those config options in your kernel config. If you're on 2.4 or 2.6, you can try looking for the equivalent options in the later kernels (have they been renamed? I forget). - -- GnuPG public key available from http://ca.geocities.com/redvision.geo/gnupg_key.html -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.5 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQFBJq1ZMqUhaD+LmFcRAr4bAKCgiFt5rdlcsgUoVNV2Xav9EKxl7QCfVD2o TauxHtm+lwiUb0+En3ALGCY= =jMyv -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
