I just noticed that Debian packages for GnuCash: http://lists.debian.org/debian-wnpp/2004/03/msg00714.html and GnuCash-doc: http://lists.debian.org/debian-wnpp/2004/04/msg00121.html have been orphaned for some time. I will consider doing what it takes to maintain those packages but I thought I would check here to see if there are any other considerations.

I see there are a number of other choices at least two of which have Debian packages: SQL-ledger and KMyMoney2. Anyone have experience or comments on the these packages as replacements for GnuCash?

Anyone interested in helping me maintain GnuCash and/or GnuCash-doc?

Last time I looked ag GnuCASH it was a personal finance package.
sql-ledger is an accounting package for businesses and can manage issues such as taxation, order-taking, deliveris, billing and issuing receipts.if you check back over the past few days you will see a sizable discussion of it.
I've no knowledge of KMyMoney2.

If you value GnuCash, by all means step in and adopt it.
