sounds like you may have already found the problem. 1) where exactly did you get the CD images? 2) how exactly did you burn them(software, etc) 3) can you do a ls -lR of the CDs and output to a text file and post to a web/ftp site somewhere(PLEASE DO NOT EMAIL THIS TO THE LIST) sounds like the CDs were not burned properly, there are hundreds if not thousands of files on the cds that are longer then 8 characters, if the CD was burned in a mode where it truncates the filenames I would just throw the cd away nate -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
