Hi Thomas, I am using the Sony Access Point and the Sony card. The card works fine with Linux (PCWA-C100, Orinoco Driver), but the access point can only be configured from windows which stinks. Both, but especially the access point, is pretty expensive and I wouldn't go for it again. I remeber having paid almost 500 EUR for the access point and it is nothing, but an access point. You can get an access point with DSL and dhcp server for less.
