In addition to occasionally getting mails which appear to be from comcast from m0.net, I occasionally get emails with headers thusly:
Received: from mailgate.comcastonline.com ([198.178.10.193]) by mailgate.comcastonline.com (8.12.10/8.12.10) with ESMTP id i5RG16pu0$ for <[my comcast email [EMAIL PROTECTED]>; Sun, 27 Jun 2004 12:44:17 -0400Message-ID: <<225183#980EEB4E-D5F2-4833-AA7F-80603AEE8240|[EMAIL PROTECTED]>> X-EM-APIVersion: 2, 0, 0, 2 Reply-To: Comcast Online Communications <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> X-Mailer: divine NetAgent CONTACT v6.00.120 From: "Comcast Online Communications" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> The email is in HTML format and contains <img> linking to: http://a1212.g.akamai.net/7/1212/6718/20030918/ comcast.download.akamai.com/6718/Outbound_email/esupport/images/blank.gif and <a> links to things like: http://online.comcast.net/help/?CM.src=eawareAC My email preferences say send me no emails and I've called Comcast several times and they said this is some sort of Phishing. The IP Address 198.178.10.193 is suspiciously close to 192.168.x.x, so maybe they are telling the truth. Has anybody else receieved emails like this. What I do is just change my email address when this happens, but the "spam" seems to resume either within days or sometimes within months, and I only use this particular alias for Comcast and a couple other companies, so I don't know how the spammers are getting it. Is this Comcast spam or Phishing? -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? Contact [EMAIL PROTECTED]
