Hi, Per Joris' advice, I added root to the group 'audio' and my sound works now for a few seconds. When I play a song, it works for up to 20 sconds and then stops and I get a message 'sound server fatal error: cpu overload, aborting' . The machine has an Athlon 2500 so I can't see an overload happening. Does anyone have any ideas?
