I'm running SID on a Dell Latitude laptop with an ATI Rage video card

I just upgraded to gnome 2.6, also X got upgraded. Problem is that
resolution of X changed from 1024x768 to 800x600. Running xf86config
does not seem to help and in desktop preferences / screen resolution in
gnome the 1024x768 resolution is not even listed.
