I got rid of the hosts.allow and deny files (put a ~
at the end). It still did not work. The error messages
are:
_FontTransSocketUNIXConnect: Can't connect: errno =
111
If I do:
xset fp+ unix:/7101 (or whatever it's meant to be)
I get:
X Error of failed request: 86
Major opcode of failed request: 51 (X_SetFontPath)
Serial number of failed request: 9
Current serial number in output stream: 11
The server is running according to top, although
starting a new instance gives something like:
'cannot open port somethingorother. Better try another
port!'
An instance of xfstt then starts anyway.
Any help greatly appreciated.
