Pretty much a good test, yes. I have Debian Sarge on a cheapass POS VIA (I didn't even know VIA made CPUs...) with a cheapass POS Syntax mobo with on-board VIA everything. Total garbage. It works fine. I have it on a P4-2.0 GHz with a cheapass POS PC Chips mobo with on-board Intel everything. More garbage. It works fine too. For this one I had trouble with i845 video because Debian's XFree86 wasn't the latest bleeding edge version a few months ago. Now it's no problem. Knoppix worked on this board before Debian did, so I'd say Knoppix is a pretty fair test of what's possible. -- Michael McIntyre ---- Silvan <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Linux fanatic, and certified Geek; registered Linux user #243621 http://www.geocities.com/Paris/Rue/5407/ -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
