No, but you I think you could use Postfix with MySQL, then use any IMAP-compatible email client to interact with it. I know it's not quite as direct as you might like, but I guess you'll still get most of the advantages of using a database.
Otherwise, you'll probably have to hack an email client to talk SQL...
