Or you can just write directly to the node, like this cdrecord -v speed=-1 dev=/dev/cdrom exampleiso
For ATAPI, cdrecord will figure out the optimal speed.
Does that work regardless of the media? I.e., slow 4x for CD-RW and fast 24x or 48x for plain CD-R?
