To answer my own post, it looks like a via driver for that particular IDE controller and RAID controller are not quite ready in the linux world. Here's an old thread from a via forum. http://forums.viaarena.com/messageview.cfm?catid=28&threadid=41397 I guess I'll just slap my drives on the regular IDE channels and use a Software Raid.
