I see there is already a reply about the UseFBDev option.  You will also 
notice that the driver is nv.  This is the "open source" version of the 
nvidia driver - not the  closed one from nvidia which is called "nvidia".  I 
noticed that this had changed when I did an upgrade.

If you use the nvidia sourced driver the UseFBDev option works. (There are 
some debian packages (nvidia-kernel-src and nvidia-glx-src) that will 
download the latest driver from nvidia's web site and make some debs from 
them which you can then install.
