I currently am using the oss sound drivers for things like XMMS. I would like to try ALSA, but am unclear as to the modules that I will need to load for my card.
I currently use the ES1371 module in addition to the ac97_codec and one called sound (I believe this is 'oss' specific). I don't think I need 'sound' or 'soundcore' anymore. Do I need the others?
