depends on the system. on the ultra 1 I have here it's not upgradable,
well it is, but the video card that I could use is ONLY compadible with
solaris 2.5.1(not 2.6->9). I don't remember what model mine is or how
to find out, but if you open the chassis up, try to find what's called
a UPA slot, you may be able to find a picture of them through google,
but they look quite different from the SBUS slots which your system
will have a couple of, the SBUS looks like a SCSI connector in a way,
you need a UPA slot to run a more modern video card. the UPA is more
like a mini PCI connector, one long blade in the middle of the connector.

if you don't have UPA your pretty much out of luck unless you want to
run solaris 2.5.1(ew). I may be able to track down the video card I
was getting quotes on, it's MASSIVE, I mean its about the size of
the motherboard(double layered I think), and uses 2 SBUS connectors.

if you have UPA, the video cards for that are not hard to find, usually
named "Creator 3D". I made the mistake of buying one on ebay before
I realized that it was not compadible with my ultra 1 :(

luckily my former company has about 9 ultra 1s that they are selling
for cheap, I plan topickup 1 or 2 creator 3ds that they have(cheaper
then the video card I bought even!)
