Now: how do I do this, too?  Remap my keys under X.

What is "Compase Character"?  I think that sounds good, whatever it is; and
remapping the scroll lock key sounds great.

A link to a tutorial would be fine; something simple.  Or at least an idea of
which manpages to look up.
