Hi, Can you please provide further information, what does "lsmod" show when entered at the command line as root? What make/model of soundcard are you using? Are you getting any error messages (ie when trying to play an application that uses sound etc)?. Can you please provide details such as bootup information (type "dmesg > ~/filename.txt" and that will create a file that contains all the messages that you get at bootup, saved to your home directory).
