Cafes in Stockholm are beginning to offer wlan access to their customers. I need a tool to identify essid and other stuff about a wlan, so that I can walk into any of these cafes and get networked in 30 seconds time.
Apradar (http://apradar.sourceforge.net/) seems to do this, but it requires kernel 2.4.20 and is not packaged for debian.
