You'll need msttcorefonts and x-ttcidfont-conf. That will also eliminate the
need for any symlinks. The font directory to list in the X config files 
(Xf86Config-4 and XftConfig) is
 /var/lib/defoma/x-ttcidfont-conf.d/dirs/TrueType and remove
or comment out any other truetype directories in the files.
