I have the same drive here:
0,0,0 0) 'TEAC ' 'CD-W54E ' '1.1B' Removable CD-ROM
I wonder if you have it mounted? If so, you must umount the drive before the
door will open. This drive here has been solid as a rock, and
considering I ripped the cup holder part out the same night I installed it,
that's a major complement! :)
