I dont really know why > though. Peace Nope. I routinely play OGGs via XMMS over read-only NFS shares. It's all a matter of how you have XMMS configured. If XMMS is having a problem playing back audio, you may want to look at it's output configuration and permissions on /dev/dsp and /dev/mixer. -- Jamin W.
