Edward, Most probably not actually, i'm older than you most probably think (although you're most probably older than me anyways). And i'm not a whelp - my point has been made I think. You have been using unix for a long time, I suspect that you may partially forget what it is like to be a newbie. Please stop implying that I don't read the man pages etc. I do. And I try to understand their terse wording and lack of working examples as best I can.
