Hi * whenever I create a file on a vfat partition or copy file to such a partition the filenames get changed. e.g. ls > X # capital x ls x # lowercase x
ls > Xx ls xx same applies to all filenames fitting the 8/3 character frame. Is this a) intended b) normal c) strange but cannot be changed for problems with M$'s way of creating file systems. Currently I tar-gzip / zip files I have to transfer between PCs and unpack them under Windows. A little time consuming, but works. Would be nice if there was a solution.
