-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hello,
It's me again ;0) and I ask again for advice on how to deal with certain errors reported by my daily Tiger-run. The first pair of erors I'm facing is: * The port for services afs3-fileserver is assigned to service ircd-dalnet. * The port for services ircd-dalnet is assigned to service afs3-fileserver. A closer look into /etc/services shows me, that both services are actually asigned to port 7000. Is this a problem (why?, why not?)? If 'yes': how should I solve it? The third mesage I don't understand is: * --[FAIL]-- [nfs006f] Directory /home exported r/w to everyone My /etc/exports sais: /home 192.168.0.0/255.255.255.0(rw) where 192... is my internal trusted network served via a second NIC independend from the wide, wilde world. It is obviously restricted? I'm new to this, so I'm not shure whether the fact that I have the same netmask (255.255.255.0) assigned to eth0 and eth1 might have a role in this. Should I change the netmask? What else can I do to "convince" tiger of the restricted nature of the /home export? Thanks for any hints, I really appreceate the patience/knowledge given to me by this group.
