Hi again Joenio, In your original post, you asked on how to cite "the Debian project as a whole". But what do you mean by that? The Debian project is an informal group of people and Debian is used to refer to the Operating System. (And it's not a legal entity.) What is your usecase? Are you actually trying to refer to some specific product shipped by the Debian project?
