I am not sure, but could we not just perform a binary upload of that MIPS package? Prepending to be a build demon ourselves? The emulated builds violate some policy, I presume. Also, you could decide not to run the unit tests if dpkg-architecture -qDEB_BUILD_ARCH indicates the MIPS architecture. Other ideas?
