Pursuant to the problem history of Debian bug #486528, I am ready to close this
bug report also. If the kernel dasd driver is enhanced to support recognizing
the RECOMP area of a CMS minidisk as a separate partition, I consider this as a
fulfillment of this requirement. I can make a Linux file system in the RECOMP
partition, mount it as /boot, and I'm there. This
effectively causes zipl to boot from the RECOMP area.
