Package: qt5ct Version: 0.34-1 Severity: normal Tags: upstream Forwarded: https://sourceforge.net/p/qt5ct/tickets/51/
As per upstream bug report: Hi! While packaging it for Debian I discovered that /usr/bin/qt5ct will show an error and exit if QT_QPA_PLATFORMTHEME is not set. This is actually counterintuitive, as the app itself does not seems to need that environment variable to be set to work. Ideally the application should start and present a message stating that changes will not be seen unless qt apps are run with that env variable set, but continue to work non the less. Better yet if that warning is present at the bottom or the top of the window (ie, with or without a warning at the beginning). -- System Information: Debian Release: buster/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (990, 'unstable'), (500, 'unstable-debug'), (500, 'testing-debug'), (500, 'buildd-unstable'), (500, 'testing'), (500, 'stable'), (1, 'experimental-debug'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 4.15.0-1-amd64 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=es_AR.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=es_AR.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE=es_AR:es (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) LSM: AppArmor: enabled Versions of packages qt5ct depends on: ii libc6 2.27-2 ii libgcc1 1:8-20180312-2 ii libgl1 1.0.0-2 ii libqt5core5a [qtbase-abi-5-9-2] 5.9.2+dfsg-12 ii libqt5dbus5 5.9.2+dfsg-12 ii libqt5gui5 5.9.2+dfsg-12 ii libqt5widgets5 5.9.2+dfsg-12 ii libstdc++6 8-20180312-2 qt5ct recommends no packages.
