I am sorry that you received no response to this bug report earlier. I am downgrading the bug to important as its not a policy violation and also the package is not unsuitable for everyone. Of course some time has passed and current Debian Stable aka Stretch has the updated Akonadi version 16.04.3. Could you reproduce this issue with this version or a newer one? If so, I kindly ask you to report the bug upstream if not already done. We greatly appreciate your help.
