Package: ksysguard
Version: 4:4.4.5-3
Severity: normal
Attempted to drag a sensor (such as, say, Total Interrupts) from System
Monitor to the System Monitor widget results in, as far as I can tell,
nothing happening (the mouse cursor does gain a plus sign indicating that
it can be dropped there).
(Also, the widget itself resolutely displays as only an icon rather than
actual graphs, but for now I'm assuming this is intended(?) behaviour)
This is a bummer as I had a panel full of graphs under KDE3.

Install hal, lm-sessors
Er, no, they're both installed. :P
What I was trying to do was reproduce what I had for the larger part of a
decade with KDE3, eg: http://www.deegan.id.au/temp/darktable-crash-20100726.png
However, it does look a lot like one can no longer embed graphs in the
panel, and also one can no longer stack the sensors (ie. to use spreadsheet
chart parlance, only line graphs are possible, not stacked area graphs).
So I guess this is a "feature no longer implemented".
I guess this should have been reported upstream, but it's too late for that.
This report is for kde4 version os ksysguard, currently ksysguard is a key
component of the plasma 5 desktop, but no ships the systemmonitor plasmoids,
these are now shipped by plasma-workspace as the org.kde.systemmonitor.*
widgets. I'm not sure if these provide the functionality that you found
lacking in the kde4 version. Please, if you consider it so, report a new bug
against the plasma 5 version of plasma-workspace about this, but, as this bug
shows, it might be better to report it upstream directly.
Happy hacking,
