Package: plasma-workspace Version: 4:5.8.4-1 Severity: important When starting up the computer, often (not always) xembedsniproxy segfaults. Also while using the computer it randomly crashes (I have the feeling that recently it more often crashes on start up than during normal operation). Hence several the icons in the task tray are missing. With "xembedsniproxy&" i can restart it. But if you don't know about that command this leads to serious usability issues! (some programs aren't accessible without their task tray icon anymore). When starting up, I get for example that message: [ 49.752174] xembedsniproxy[5458]: segfault at 2 ip 0000561b56ae2232 sp 00007ffffb32c330 error 4 in xembedsniproxy[561b56ad6000+14000]
That behaviour wasn't introduced with the newest version, but already exists since several months (I just always had urgent work to do, when it happened => no bug report) Programs which I've got in the task tray and are using xembedsniproxy are: workrave gmusicbrowser (Is not started up automatically, so it shouldn't be able to trigger the start up crash) task coach tomboy if there's anything else I can help with, just ask.
