Package: kscreen Version: 4:5.8.4-1 Severity: normal ------
Dear Maintainer, When using kscreen without upower, kscreen doesn't work as expected. Package kscreen should add as a recommended package upower. The problem is that when upower is not installed on the system, kscreen does not remember/apply some user's configuration made into the kscreen module. Steps to reproduce the bug: + You will need at least two screens connected to the system to be able to reproduce this bug. 1. Make sure upower is not installed on the system. 2. Go to kscreen configuration module. 3. Disable one screen and apply settings. 4. Reboot the system. At this point, you will see that after rebooting the system, kscreen is enabling the screen that you disabled earlier. It doesn't apply/remember your configuration when upower is not installed on the system. Therefore, package kscreen should recommend to install upower because it is required for kscreen to provide a significant amount of functionality.
