Hi, I am a bit doubtful,
Regarding the first issue : - the same issue happened both in my laptop without any kind of dual screen ("mac book pro retina 2013" using intel i915 ) and my desktop HP with dual screen (DVI VGA ) using nouveau... -the symptoms seem different : sddm start into the K icon and idle from there (unless I use ctrl-alt-Fx then CTRL-ALT-F7) I can see this on both screen. The suggestion make in the previous mail did not help. -I have no error in the boot log Regarding the second issue : - my up to date sid still show this issue today the 7th of january 2017. Was qtdeclarative updated or not yet ? - When the panel crashes/freeses I can *also* do ctrl-alt-Fx then CTRL-ALT-F7 to restore it in a working state (most of the time...) Personnaly I found it unlikely that 2 different issues have exactly the same work around ? If you want me to test more things please tell me so.
