Hey,

can you please explain, why you think, we can remove the mysql-client-core 
dependency? akonadi is starting a server by it self and also connects to it, 
so for me it makes sense, that akonadi also needs mysql-client-core to work. 
Have you tested a system without mysql-client-core?
