When I started it today, korganizer greeted me with the message 'The Akonadi personal information management service is not operational'. The report suggested the problem was linked with my MySQL installation. It looked like mysql-server-core-5.5 package was installed but not mysql-server. An 'apt-get install mysql-server' installed MySQL server and that fixed the problem. But it looks like a dependency is missing somewhere. Yours, J.
