Package: kde-standard Version: 5:91 Severity: wishlist The kdeconnect package isn't part of any kde meta-package and I think it should as it really nicely integrates my Android devices with my KDE desktop and I therefor have installed it on my PC, laptop and all my Android devices. As a matter of fact when I install a new device it is one of the very first packages/apps I do install on that device.
On top of that, it is explicitly mentioned in the Plasma 5.8 LTS announcement [1] and it is also featured in the video on that page. Thus it is likely that users of KDE in Debian Stretch expect it to be installed by default. I would be fine if this bug was reassigned to kde-plasma-desktop, the metapackage I normally use, or alternatively to kde-full, but I'll leave that up to the maintainer. Or close it as 'wont-fix', but I had to at least try to get it into a Debian KDE metapackage ;-) Cheers, Diederik [1] https://dot.kde.org/2016/10/04/kde-20-plasma-58-lts-out-now-comprehensive-features -- System Information: Debian Release: stretch/sid APT prefers unstable-debug APT policy: (500, 'unstable-debug'), (500, 'unstable'), (500, 'testing'), (101, 'experimental'), (1, 'experimental-debug') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386, armhf Kernel: Linux 4.8.0-rc8-amd64 (SMP w/4 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system)
