A recent update is causing sddm to segfault on startup. Starting kde from console using startx works fine. I can also avoid the issue by setting kde to autologin my account. Here is a relevant error message from journalctl:

Could you try using a different theme? For example sddm-theme-maui, to use it you'll need to:
- Install the sddm-theme-maui package - Edit/Create a /etc/sddm.conf file with the contents: [Theme] Current=maui - Restart sddm Happy hacking, -- "C makes it easy to shoot yourself in the foot; C++ makes it harder, but when you do it blows your whole leg off." -- Bjarne Stroustrup Saludos /\/\ /\ >< `/
