Package: kontact Version: 4:16.04.3-1 Severity: important Tags: upstream Dear Maintainer,
Following an upgrade to 16.04 from 14, I'm no longer able to send or recive any emails using kontact. Clicking on update folder and than on ok on the dialog "it is nesseary to have a resource online, do you want to make it online" does not help. When I click on ok on that dialog I expected that Kontact will assume that there is a network connection and fetch new emails from the server. Restarting the agent in akonadiconsole bring the agent into state "connection established" but I still have the "offline" state on the folder and I can't fetch the emails. When restarting the agent I get the next traces in the terminal that had akonadictl start: Shutting down "akonadi_imap_resource_23" ... Shutting down "/subscriber/akonadi_imap_resource_23_11358_U7jESO" ... NetworkManager is not installed, using wvdial+pppd only to connect to the internet. This is connected to a feature request in wvdial https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=803928 , but I do not think wvdial is the only one which need to get the blame. -- System Information: Debian Release: stretch/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (901, 'unstable'), (200, 'stable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 4.5.0-2-amd64 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=he_IL.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=he_IL.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) (ignored: LC_ALL set to en_IL.UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) Versions of packages kontact depends on: ii kdepim-runtime 4:16.04.2-2 ii libc6 2.23-2 ii libgcc1 1:6.1.1-9 ii libkf5completion5 5.23.0-1 ii libkf5configcore5 5.23.0-1 ii libkf5configgui5 5.23.0-1 ii libkf5configwidgets5 5.23.0-1 ii libkf5coreaddons5 5.23.0-1 ii libkf5grantleetheme-plugins 16.04.2-1 ii libkf5grantleetheme5 16.04.2-1 ii libkf5i18n5 5.23.0-1 ii libkf5iconthemes5 5.23.0-1 ii libkf5identitymanagement5 16.04.2-1 ii libkf5kcmutils5 5.23.0-1 ii libkf5kdepimdbusinterfaces5 4:16.04.2-2 ii libkf5kiowidgets5 5.23.0-1 ii libkf5kontactinterface5 16.04.2-1 ii libkf5libkdepim-plugins 4:16.04.2-3 ii libkf5libkdepim5 4:16.04.2-3 ii libkf5parts5 5.23.0-1 ii libkf5service-bin 5.23.0-1 ii libkf5service5 5.23.0-1 ii libkf5webkit5 5.23.0-1 ii libkf5widgetsaddons5 5.23.0-1 ii libkf5windowsystem5 5.23.0-1 ii libkf5xmlgui5 5.23.0-1 ii libqt5core5a 5.6.1+dfsg-3 ii libqt5dbus5 5.6.1+dfsg-3 ii libqt5gui5 5.6.1+dfsg-3 ii libqt5webkit5 5.6.1+dfsg-4 ii libqt5widgets5 5.6.1+dfsg-3 ii libstdc++6 6.1.1-9 Versions of packages kontact recommends: ii accountwizard 4:16.04.3-1 ii akregator 4:16.04.3-1 ii kaddressbook 4:16.04.3-1 ii kmail 4:16.04.3-1 ii knotes 4:16.04.3-1 ii korganizer 4:16.04.3-1 Versions of packages kontact suggests: pn gnokii <none> -- no debconf information
