I seem to have the same issue in my version of dolphin (Version 15.08.3) under KDE Frameworks 5.16.0, Qt 5.5.1 (kompiliert gegen 5.5.1) and Das xcb Fenstersystem. This is not reliably reproducable It feels like a memory usage issue, as it happens after some time of work when selecting several files or when I try to perform bigger tasks like selecting 1½GB of music in several subfolders on a stick and move it to the harddisk. Amount of memory can't be the problem. If you need additional information please tell me what you need. Odd things I noticed: Akonadi gives an error in the selftest report and doesn't work properly (searching files or mails doesn't work). VLC does'nt start related somehow to the Qt Interface plus purge VLC wants to uninstall essential KDE stuff. Bug#825140 Kontact crashes when closing. https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=363431 kdeinit5 sometime crashes before log out. Krunner sometimes crashes without a visible reason as well. I have to restart it manually.
