On a HP Pavilion slimline installing in several ways: installing http://cdimage.debian.org/debian-cd/8.2.0/i386/iso-cd/debian-8.2.0-i386-kde-CD-1.iso, and
installing http://cdimage.debian.org/debian-cd/8.2.0/i386/iso-cd/debian-8.2.0-i386-netinst.iso with the KDE option selected, and in debian stable(jessie) i386: apt-get purge kde, and apt-get install kde, and apt-get install kde-full on login desktop is trashed, yet gnome, fluxbox and icewm work perfectly. sumtoms include trashed toolbar, icons trashed, menu items only appear on mouse over. date of images is: 2015-09-06 12:04 KDE is my favorite and it seems to be working fine under debian jessie AMD64 Thank you for your attention.
