The bug is with SDDM and paths.
I understand SDDM is 'the future' to some people(mostly the systemd
fanbois) but since when do we not have the right to choose our dm?
KDM doesn't require libsystemd0 and is mature even if it is 20 years
old.
I haven't tried a distro yet be it Debian, Kubuntu....fill in the
blank....that has the new KDE that isn't having an issue with SDDM.
SDDM is not ready for prime time period.
SDDM may be the future and in the future it may be ready but that is not
right now.
Everyone said systemd would be the best thing since sliced bread and
would make our lives easier. They also said systemd would not end up
turning Linux into Windows with all the dependencies and bloat.
So far that has been a huge lie. Every day systemd becomes a bigger
beast and in my opinion it's out of control.
I don't want it on my system and if that means switching to BSD or just
freezing my OS than so be it.
There is a lot of money getting pumped in to RH from SOMEONE and I think
this whole systemd stuff is likened to NAZI propaganda.
I don't trust it or the people behind it. I am not alone. Peace.
