Already explained by Sune over IRC to Timo, but writing it here for the sake of completitude. This comes from QPlatformSupport stuff which creates a static library that needs this linking. It also happens that QPlatformSupport is private stuff, so there is really no way to solve this but either stop using private stuff or helping upstream to make QPlatformSupport public (which would be really helpful). This will in turn mean that it will become a dynamic lib and this bug can be fixed. By the way there was part of the QPlatformSupport stuff in qtbase5-dev, I have just pushed it to qtbase5-private-dev.
