Indeed, if I install gstreamer's pulseaudio plugin it Currently phonon-backend-gstreamer depends on gstreamer1.0-pulseaudio | gstreamer1.0-alsa [linux-any] | gstreamer1.0- audiosink Maybe we should change that to gstreamer1.0-pulseaudio, gstreamer1.0-alsa [linux-any] | gstreamer1.0- audiosink So depending on both sets of plugins, as the footprint is quite small (less than half of a megabyte) might be a nice solution. Note: installing gstreamer1.0-pulseaudio doesn *not* forces pulseaudio installation, which is correct for us. -- Passwords are like underwear. You shouldn’t leave them out where people can see them.
