As far as I can remember, KUrl falls back to http and from that to google search if the entered uri is not managed by something else. It may be a good idea to have a dumb sftp handler to avoid the propagation, or, even better an sftp plugin that adds the missing license exception (note that such plugin can't be inspired on the current sftp plugin). I'm asking help in this bug to anyone willing to provide a patch with either plugin. > This regression seems to have been introduced with version > 4.14.0-1, and is most likely a consequence of #750867. Since I have gnutls > installed, it should be used for SFTP access instead of openssh. gnutls could replace libssl in libssh, which needs to be done in the openssh packages (I'm not sure if this is a good idea, though), but the sftp konqueror plugin uses libssh. So, please, ping the bug #676650 if you want to see to happen. Alternatively, upstream could add the license exception, but, so far, they have refused: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=337397 Happy hacking, -- "If a million people believe a foolish thing, it is still a foolish thing." -- France's Rule of Folly Saludos /\/\ /\ >< `/
