Yes, I definitely need more info. First of all, please describe exactly what you are doing that makes triggers this fails. "is unable to generate symbols" doesn't tells me at what point you get this bug. Is it when creating a new symbols file? When building? On the other hand, looking at libmagick++-6.q16-3.symbols it seems whoever did them screwed up: the first line says # SymbolsHelper-Confirmed: 6.8.5.5 amd64 But you have symbols marked as if they appeared at 6.8.6.7... I don't know how you got to that, because the symbolshelper does warns you when you try to update symbols with an older version. Have you used another tool to update them? Finally, have you taken a look at [0] ? [0] <http://pkg-kde.alioth.debian.org/symbolfiles.html> I'm tempted to dowgrade this bug because of the stuff I just mentioned, but I'll wait for your input just in case. -- http://www.phdcomics.com/comics/archive.php?comicid=56 Lisandro Damián Nicanor Pérez Meyer http://perezmeyer.com.ar/ http://perezmeyer.blogspot.com/
