Hi, When kwrite is used to open a file to which the user does not have any permissions, kwrite does not give any indication to the user that it cannot read the file due to lack of permissions. Instead kwrite just shows a blank document misleading the user that the file was successfully opened and that the file contains no data. For example, when a regular user (not root) tries to open the following file the above-described behavior is observed.
