Package: dolphin
Version: 4:4.8.4-1
Severity: normal
Hi,
with the new version of KDE on Wheezy (4.8.3) Dolphin has changed its behaviour
in displaying file names. It now shows the full name of the file, without
truncating them after two lines or similar, and it's not possible to change the
behaviour.
This is not a problem unless you have files with long names (i.e. any file
downloaded from the net, like videos, music ecc.), as this makes the browsing
of the folder quite more difficult and more time-consuming than before.
A bug has been opened on KDE bugzilla:
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=288596 and it has been marked at fixed on
KDE 4.9, but since AFAIU Wheezy will be released with KDE 4.8, you may want to
backport the fix to this bug on the KDE version that will be released with
Wheezy, because it is really annoying.
thanks,
Iacopo Benesperi

Hi,
I am closing the bug, as it should be solved with dolphin from experimental.
Unfortunatelly it will not be backported for wheezy.
Regards,
Adrien
